HCT History
An initiative by Mr. Moula Bakhsh Al Balushi, a diehard cricket fan and patronage for cricket in sultanate, to educate and nurture the young Omani cricketer led to the establishment of the club in 2010, under the name of Al Hail Cricket Team. Since then, the team has grown from the scratch to achieving success in the very early stages of the cricketing path. The team started with mere 15 members has now nearly 200 members including young and experienced Omani players, supported and co-operated by experienced expat players from India, Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh.
Al hail Cricket Team participated in the Omani Cricket League for the first time in year 2010 and went on to win the crown as champions in OCC “G” division league while holding the runners up title in the knockout tournament conducted by Oman Cricket same year.
Looking at the productive and ongoing development of the team and the young Omanis, the club has roped in some highly talented and experienced expat players who have been entrusted a dual role of teaching the young Omani players the practical nuances of the game through live match situations.
Last but not the least, we believe there is no shortcut to success and there is no replacement to hard work. We vow to continue on improving the quality of cricket here in Sultanate and thus developing for sport as whole in the country.
We aim to contribute to the development and growth of all Omani cricket players in The Sultanate of Oman for advancement of this game in the country.
